Australian Aboriginal Signs & Symbols

A scarce early Australian booklet presenting illustrated Aboriginal signs and symbols, compiled for the use of Boy Scouts. Published in Sydney in 1934, it provides drawings and explanations of traditional signs and symbolic forms as understood and presented by the authors at the time. An interesting example of early twentieth-century Australian scouting literature and European documentation of Aboriginal culture. Soft covers, minor foxing at start and end of book.
