Plowman's classic account of camel transport in the Australian interior — the Afghan cameleers, the long desert hauls, the isolation of remote stations, and the logistics of moving supplies across country before motor transport took over. It’s part travelogue, part social history, with strong documentary value for outback life in the early 20th century, numerous B/W plates minor wear to cover, edges, front end papers tanned.
